KAPIL CHOREOGRAPHY TO DIRECTION!

The man brimming with happiness from the technical side this Friday is Kapil a famous choreographer as his 50th film ‘Colors in Bangalore’ is releasing all over Karnataka.

Kapil alias MR Srinivas got the name because he was bowling like Kapil Dev of Indian Cricket. Srinivas when he came to cinema in 1989 at the age of 17 became Kapil.

From 50 films working for over 200 songs as dance director Kapil is soon directing a Kannada cinema ‘Matinee’.

The growth of Kapil in cinema field is not with bed of roses. He struggled, toiled and stayed with perseverance.

Kapil joined Vijaya Film Institute in 1989 after 10th standard for acting course. He got in to dance classes but three months practice got him a job in Manjula Gururaj orchestra for five years and that was his living in the initial days.

He entered as assistant dancer in Madan Harini camp in 2000 and in 2003 he became independent dance director. He was so fond among the newcomers that made him to take most of the new hero’s films. From Navabharathi of Ganeshan his days with his own team started working. He has taught steps to Dr Ambarish, Diganth, Vijaya Raghavendra, Naveen Krishna among seniors.

For all the ‘Navarasas’ Kapil provides the dancing moments. He thanks MG Lingaraj for affection and support.

As of now Kapil has completed song recording for his debut direction ‘Matinee’ – two heroines are major actors in this film. Kalakar Gopi is his music director.

Kapil lives with his wife Smt Shobavathi and two songs Banu Darshan and Prithvi Darshan.
